Yellow Dock & Red Clover Herbal Tea

We can all do with a detox sometimes, this herbal tea can help to detoxify the body naturally.


Burdock Root is effective in helping to remove toxins and cleans the blood due to its diuretic and alternative properties.  It can not only help to remove everyday toxins but also help to eliminate heavy metals from the blood and promote blood circulation.


Yellow Dock is an effective blood purifier due to its purifying and detoxifying properties which helps the body to expel toxins naturally. Blood Root helps the body to expel toxins through the urine and sweat glands due to its diuretic properties


This remedy makes an effective tea to help remove toxins from the blood and improve overall health and wellness.

INGREDIENTS

60g (4 tablespoons) - Yellow dock root (Rumex Crispus)


60g (4 tablespoons) - Red clover tops (Trifolium Pratense) 


60g (4 tablespoons) - Ephedra (Ephedra Sinica) 


60g (4 tablespoons) - Burdock root (Arctium lappa)

 

60g (4 tablespoons) - Figwort root (Scrophularia nodosa) 


2 1/2 pints - Water



INSTRUCTIONS

  • Place the herbs in 2 ½ pints of boiling water, slowly simmer until the liquid has reduced down to about 1 ½ pints.


  • Strain the liquid.


  • Sweeten with a little honey.


  • Leave to cool before bottling.


  • Store in a cool place.

DOSAGE

  • Take 3 tablespoons 3 to 4 times per day

SIDE EFFECTS

Although most herbs are generally considered safe to use there is the slight possibility of allergic reactions or adverse reactions when used with other medication although this is rare.


Yellow Dock is considered safe for general use, however, if used in large doses the leaves can be toxic.  Burdock is generally considered safe for general use but pregnant women or women trying to become pregnant should avoid Burdock where possible.  Burdock Root is a natural diuretic so care should be taken if you are taking other diuretic medication to prevent dehydration. 


Bloot Root is generally considered safe to use.  However if you are pregnant or breastfeeding caution should be used.  Also due to its diuretic properties it may interact with diuretic medication and care should be taken to avoid dehydration.
